This property lies to the East of Sittingbourne, heading towards Canterbury. Our Client’s brief was to build a detached, high specification annex within the garden of their families existing home allowing them to retire in comfortable surroundings.

 

Having moved from a reasonable sized property, the quality of internal space as well as a clear contemporary appearance externally was of a high priority. This was achieved by creating a living area with vaulted ceiling and rooflights, together with floor to ceiling glazing allowing views of the well established shared garden maximising natural daylight. A large double bedroom with en-suite walk in shower room was provided to ensure that all areas were future-proofed and accessible in years to come.

 

Low maintenance materials have been specified, including fibre cement boarding and powder coated aluminium windows and doors.

 

Kent Design Studio provided both planning and building regulation services for this project and were also on hand to answer site queries from the contractor.
