The site lies to the South of Tenterden near Ashford and comprises of a detached two bedroom single storey bungalow.

Kent Design Studio were approached by our client to look at the complete transformation of the building into a family home that took advantage of far reaching views across the Kent countryside.

The brief was to carry out a full roof extension which incorporated a carport below, to create a four bed family home.

The whole roof was replaced with a higher, steeper pitched slate roof complete with natural cedar wood dormers to create the space required.

Kent Design Studio set out to exceed the clients brief and expectation with the introduction of a balcony overlooking fields off of a master suite complete with floor to ceiling glass and vaulted ceilings internally to create a sense of space and connection with the surrounding countryside. In Addition, alternative materials were considered carefully and selected to create a contemporary, fresh look to the property.

All of the above was carried out by Kent Design Studio from initial thoughts through to completion, and included a full planning application, building regulations submission and on site assistance for the contractor to ensure the project ran smoothly from start to finish.
