Situated in Sittingbourne, Kent, the Swale Skills Centre is a Vocational Centre designed to deliver training in engineering and sustainable technologies to students aged 14 and up. Utilising state of the art facilities the Centre can offer unparalleled training to young adults of tomorrow.

 

Kent Design Studio were approached by our client having worked on previous projects successfully on various sites to assist in the conversion of a former industrial unit into a brand new college facility that was to provide hair, beauty and catering course facilities to higher education students.

 

From initial sketches and bid documents, computer generated artists impressions though to detailed design and on site assistance at construction phase, Kent Design Studio worked closely with the fantastic team at The Swale Skills Centre to deliver their project on time and on budget.

 

The contractor had just 4 months to transform the building into a fully functioning facility. The building was handed over just in time for the start of September, with a celebratory opening meal cooked by the students at the centre of which TV's Greg Wallace attended giving his full support of the new facility.
